Bungie details broad Exotic and perk changes for Renegades, including buffs to Ace of Spades, Hawkmoon, Still Hunt, and Witherhoard, plus Box Breathing and Shot Swap reworks.

Bungie’s first Renegades sandbox blog also stacks a huge list of Exotic and perk changes to freshen up weapon-centric builds.

Exotic weapon changes

  • Ace of Spades: Memento Mori’s PvE damage bonus rises from 18%→30%; Firefly’s PvE damage and radius are increased.
  • Hawkmoon: now gains PvE damage per Paracausal stack, up to 70% at x8 (not counting the final shot).
  • Osteo Striga: poison burst cooldown halved (4s→2s).
  • Suros Regime: special-reload to swap modes at will; new hip-fire reticle cues; spun-up/ADS kills grant Special/Heavy ammo progress.
  • Revision Zero: Hunter’s Trace rounds create a small shockwave and apply Exhaust on impact.
  • Touch of Malice: intrinsic healing made stronger and easier to trigger; special-reload to Charged with Blight now also heals.
  • Collective Obligation: slowly leeches Volatile→Weaken→Suppression on any damage, also charging leech mode.
  • Symmetry: now builds and spends Bolt Charge in alt-fire; base reload +20.
  • Still Hunt: Golden Gun damage with Celestial Nighthawk up 40%; Sniper’s Meditation now buffs GG shots.
  • Witherhoard: Silent Alarm auto-load time reduced from 3.5s→2s. Untitled document (3)
  • Duality: hip-fire spread reduced ~6%.
  • The Chaperone: shifted to Rapid-Fire Slug frame behavior—minor PvP ease-of-use nerf, bigger PvE upside.
  • Ruinous Effigy: catalyst adds a 30% (15% in PvP) damage buff to the Trace Rifle after orb kills or damaging tougher enemies.
  • Izanagi’s Burden: special reload scales with Reload Speed again (Izi-swap fans rejoice).
  • Tessellation: Transcendence synergies expanded, special reload quality-of-life improvements, and stronger catalyst effects.
  • Deathbringer: tighter secondary cluster spread for more predictable damage.
  • Black Talon: heavy attack now suppresses (and spreads if target is already suppressed); heavy attack costs less ammo; catalyst adds damage per Void debuff, plus other ammo/trait tweaks.
  • Deterministic Chaos: releasing the trigger after a Vexadecimal projectile now reloads 12 rounds from reserves.
  • Worldline Zero: Tesseract bug fixed and massively buffed (more instances, faster ticks, cheaper chained blinks).
  • Wolfsbane: light attack damage up ~8.5%, longer nano assault, stronger Swarm-nados, and sturdier axe handles.

Perk updates

  • Rangefinder: now also grants +10 Range while ADS.
  • Rampage: when the timer expires, you lose only one stack (including on Huckleberry).
  • Box Breathing: reworked to a flat +40% to your next precision shot (30% on the Heavy-ammo Sniper).
  • Shot Swap: faster ready/stow multipliers, fewer charge losses per swap, cap reduced to six charges; HUD buff no longer shows while stowed; minor Sturm catalyst parity changes.
  • Sleight of Hand: buff lasts longer, can be “banked” until your next swap, now with a timer and a fix for dropped stacks.
  • Bray Legacy: rockets gain more (10%→17% per rocket), won’t trigger from perk/Gjallarhorn explosions.
  • Veist Stinger: now works on Veist Shotguns and Fusions as intended.
  • Bewildering Burst & friends: Disorient tweaks extend to bosses; PvP Disorient duration increased.
