Devrim Kay returns to the Tower next week for Destiny 2’s Call to Arms event, featuring daily powerful gear, holofoil weapon variants, Twitch Drops, and exclusive rewards before the Renegades expansion.
Bungie is bringing back one of Destiny 2’s most beloved characters for a limited-time event next week. For the first time ever, Devrim Kay, the stalwart sniper of the EDZ, will make his way to the Tower to rally Guardians for Call to Arms, a new in-game event focused on gearing up, earning rewards, and testing your power ahead of The Final Shape: Renegades expansion.
According to the latest This Week in Destiny (TWID) post, Call to Arms kicks off next week and will serve as a fresh competitive event encouraging players to jump into a variety of activities for daily powerful gear and special loot.
New Rewards, Holofoil Variants, and Event Mechanics
Players can expect to earn daily Powerful Gear drops by completing specific activity playlists, making it easier to push Power levels before Renegades launches. A new event-exclusive currency called Lawless Vouchers (previously known as Cutting Edge Procurements) can also be earned and redeemed for a random selection of Season 28 gear, along with other unique items.
Another big incentive for participation: attuning event weapons to target specific rolls, with a chance at holofoil variants, shiny, animated weapon versions that offer visual flair and rarity for collectors. Bungie also confirmed a competitive ranking system where Guardians can climb the leaderboards for bragging rights and exclusive cosmetics.
The event’s top-tier reward? A brand-new universal helmet ornament, only obtainable during Call to Arms.
Twitch Drops and Community Rewards
Bungie is also tying in Twitch Drops for the event. Watching any Destiny 2 streamer for 30 minutes will unlock a Legendary Shader themed around Call to Arms. If you gift a subscription to a streamer during the event, you’ll also receive an exclusive Exotic Ghost Shell. Players must have their Twitch and Bungie accounts linked to claim these rewards through Bungie.net’s Partner Rewards page.
More Coming Before Renegades
The Call to Arms event is the latest in Bungie’s ramp-up to the Renegades expansion, which introduces the all-new Heat weapon system, fresh Exotic gear, and a major sandbox rework coming next month. Bungie says next week’s event is meant to get Guardians ready, both narratively and mechanically, for what’s next in the Light and Darkness saga.
